The 10th house
(Midheaven) is where we are socially classified therefore the sign on
the cusp, any planets or aspects to this house will give us a clue to
how others see us. Think of it this way, you're an actor on stage
(1st) doing your own thing yet some people in the audience will see
you as a master of your craft, others might see you as a 'has been.'
In understanding this house you'll come to understand how others see you!
The element of
the sign on the cusp of the 10th will give you clues as to what
energy is available or what information you can apply in
understanding the 10th. For example the element of earth would make
you practical, the element of fire would give you enthusiasm. The air
element asks you to communicate whereas the water element asks you to
take some time out every now and again.
Whether you
acknowledge it or not you'll probably find yourself extremely
sensitive about how other people see you. Success is normally judged
in terms of traditional roles and values, career and status symbols.
The kind of house you own the respectability of your the marriage or
partnerships. Usually (and there are exceptions) there's a need to
achieve position and recognition by this time - recognition that is
socially acceptable, what about you, have you achieved what you set
out to achieve or lost the plot? Don't be judgmental and condemning
of others, this attitude will get you no-where. Remembering, every
'over-night success story' has usually been twenty-odd years in the making.
By now, you'll
have come to the conclusion that life has been good to you and it's
time to stand aside (remembering it's usually during these years we
retire). It's time to analyse what you've done with your life and
where you want your life to go from here. Be honest with yourself and
if you don't like the person you've been or the person you are - do
something about it. Believe it or not the person you were has brought
you to the person you are and if you want more of the same then do
nothing! If you want the future to be different then the time to
begin is NOW. Get your act together for this is your life and no one
can live it but YOU. If you're constantly worried about money or,
status, image or what other people think of you then its time for a
change in your attitude.
