The
2010 International Conference of Astrology to be held in Brisbane
Surprise
inclusion to our International speakers list as Michael Lutin from
the USA has also agreed to come along and join the fun. Those who
attended the 1998 Queensland conference or the NSW 2002 conference
will remember the entertaining times we all shared in Michael's
lectures. Whatever your special interest is you will be able to
attend 4 lectures per day for 3 days on those topics alone or you can
choose lectures covering a variety of subjects in one day. Plus we
have pre and post convention workshops.
FINANCIAL,
BUSINESS & MUNDANE ASTROLOGY: this Stream covers topics such as
markets, W.D.Gann, planetary/financial cycles, world economies,
currencies, nations, the world today and leading up to 2012, the
Mayan Calendar. Speakers are Georgia Stathis (US), David Burton, Ed
Tamplin, Peter Burns, Rhonnda Fritz, Richard Giles, and Gregory Clare.
TRADITIONAL
ASTROLOGY: looking at ancient astrology through modern eyes,
including the history of astrology and themes and techniques from
traditional medieval and Hellenistic astrology. Speakers are Demetra
George (US), Dr Ben Dykes (US), Christina Thomas, Donna O'Connor,
Edith de Burgh, Joy Usher, Michele Finey, and Nikki Worth.
PSYCHOLOGICAL
& MEDICAL ASTROLOGY: covering the voids, families, childhood,
children, medical issues, the end of planetary cycles, health and
healing in astrology. Speakers include: Clare Martin (UK), Rick
Levine (US), Greg Bogart (US), Cate Whelan, Glennys Lawton, Kira
Sutherland, Mari Garcia, Stephanie Johnson, Michael Lutin and Tess Cullen.
SOUL
& SPIRIT ASTROLOGY: including lectures on meditation,
reincarnation, the Soul, karma, alchemy, spirituality and art.
Speakers are Greg Bogart (US), Clare Martin (UK), Rick Levine (US),
Babula Clement, Brian Clark, Cyndi Walls, Gerry Taylor-Wood, Jeannie
Monks, Jeannette Lewis-Hill, and Maggie Kerr.
SPECIALIST
ASTROLOGY: this Stream covers topics such as progressions and
transits, composites, asteroids, generations, aspects, fixed stars,
the Nodes. Speakers are Greg Bogart (US), Demetra George (US), Clare
Martin (UK), Rick Levine (US), Charyn McLean, Ed Tamplin, Molly
Talbot, Michele Finey, Patricia Shepherd, Peter Burns, and Roderick Kidston.
WORKSHOPS
There
are a great range of fascinating topics being offered by our
International Speakers, as Pre- and Post-Conference one-day Workshops
on the Thursday 14th and Monday 18th Morning/Afternoon Teas and Lunch
inclusive. It would be such a pity to miss out!

We
are over the Moon about the various activities organised for the
Thursday, Friday and Saturday nights. Thursday evening is 'Meet the
Speakers Tropical BBQ' being held outdoors on the banks of the
Brisbane River? We have a Keynote Speaker to set the mood as well as
a 'Thong Competition' so start thinking about how you can decorate
your favourite footwear to win a prize. (What fun - this is
Queensland after all!)
Friday
night - our intrepid Queensland astrologer Charyn McLean will be
leading us into the Astro-Karaoke No-Talent Show where you can choose
an astrological theme from our own top 40 astro hits. If you feel
like dressing up as your favourite performer singer, please do so and
don't forget to bring a costume. There will be prizes for the
"Best" individual - duet - group and costume. On Saturday
night, our mystery 'Extravaganza' crew will whisk you away to an
unknown destination of revelry and fun. (Sorry we can't say much more
- Mum's The Word!) Inspiration is also flowing, as the committee
indulge their creative juices to produce a memorable opening ceremony
for you on Thursday 14th just after lunch time at 12.47 pm.
