We use our hands all the time, without giving them a second thought, yet they often betray our true selves. If, for example, you hold them in your lap in a relaxed manner you're likey to be a 'relaxed' person; if you fidget you're likely to be tense! Keep in mind that the hand reveals the workings of the brain.

The next time you're on a bus or train, ferry or tram take a look at your fellow passengers and using what you'll learn from here discover what's going on in their head! You'll also find that your 'journey' goes faster.

1st step: Take a look at the fingers. Are their any rings on them? Often as not a ring on a finger accentuates the meanings given to that particular finger. In other words; " the more prominent the ring the more dominant the meaning given. To make it easy and interactive use the palm print to your left.

An Overview for your perusal

Now you're taking an interest in Palmistry and looking at hands with a new outlook the following might help you in your deductions of personality. Concentrate on character analysis - never mind the past and future - Character is Destiny. Read between the lines - learn the art of palm reading, even if you're all thumbs!

Are the fingers long and smooth or short and stubby? Long fingered people take their time and deliberate over everything, the next time you're in the post office or bank watch for the long fingered teller, they take their time, making sure everything is done correctly! Short fingered people work quicker and clear the lines faster but can indicate impatience with detail resulting in mistakes!

If you want detail go for long fingered people, if you want a speedy result go for short fingers! An observation: large hands do detailed work, short hands tend to be a bit sloppy! So, if you want any detailed work done properly look for a large handed trades person.

Are the fingers smooth or knotty, fat or thin? Smooth fingers indicate the intellect is in control, knotty fingers indicate the sceptic, someone who resists every intellectual arguement! If the fingers are thick or fat you can deduce that the passions are dominant and physical comforts are important - if very thick or fat, the person is a lover of luxury. Thin fingers indicate someone who appreciates the nicer things in life and good conversation.

Remembering, wearing rings on any finger accentuates the meanings given for that finger, listen to your intution when making a judgement and you'll have a lot of fun in working out the personality of your subject. It takes time but worth it in the end.

Take a general look of the hand, is it long or wide, short or average? Long hands belong to the more imaginative, emotional person - someone sensitive to the needs of others yet may find his or her own emotions difficult to explain or express. Wide hands are more primitive, sensual and instinctive. Aware of their own bodies and how to satisfy them!
