Recognising the various 'types'

Physical Types:

Have you ever wondered what attracts you to another person? Aware of it or not we tend to either like someone or dislike someone according to their appearance. Did you know it's possible to know someone's temperament just by looking at his or her body? Let me explain the five distinct types that make up the majority of human beings. Each physical type has a temperament which corresponds to their looks, so the next time you're "eye balling " the pretty girl or the spunky guy you'll have a pretty good idea as to their disposition. The first thing to remember when you start working out the different types is to take notice of the first thing about them that 'hits' you. In this way you'll not only have a lot of fun but you could save yourself a few 'knock-backs' the next time you approach someone you fancy.

Reliable Types:

The first thing you'll notice is the well-developed bones! This type has no trouble keeping slim, not to say thin that have long (but not narrow) faces, with pronounced cheek and jawbones. Look for a long, thin neck, square shoulders with thick hair cascading over their collar. Most of these types are tall yet some are medium height. Called reliable because if you ask them to do something they will do it (in their own time) so don't rush them. This type cannot be hurried. They are careful with their money, save easily and usually accumulate a few assets in life. They can hike, they can cycle, they can climb mountains but put them on the dance floor and they become awkward. Often accused of being unemotional which is untrue it's just that they are devoted to the ones they love and are "faithful to the end". Look for long/bony/knotty fingers.

Prosperous Types:

Plump, without much waistline, a round cheery face with dimples! Look for a small head, round face with full lips being constantly on a diet or about to join a weight-watching group. These types laugh a great deal and when they do it's infectious. They love life and live it to the full. Enjoying their creature comforts, they are sensual and sexual with the one they love yet will demand he/she provide for them. Likes to relax sitting or better still, lying down. Enjoys a good book, a night in front of the television, and a game of cards. This type very seldom worries and in life usually manages to rise above whatever adversities life brings. They are optimistic, jolly and persuasive. In appearance, could be described as `pretty' or `good-looking' yet somewhat on the plumpish side. Look for small (soft) hands. The word `prosperous' is not only about money or possessions; this type enjoys life's luxuries and does not mind sharing them with whoever befriends them. Listen for the infectious laugh and if this is what turns you on "make your move."

Enthusiastic Types:

"Keen as mustard". This type is always in a hurry, so keep out of their way. Their skin glows because of their circulation being in such good condition. A longish face, head held high, a short body with long limbs. Hair is probably fair, light brown or red with blue or blue/grey eyes. This type hates monotony and often creates crisis after crisis, just for the heck of it. Life is interesting and full of emotional experiences. They move home every few years, changing jobs or businesses into the bargain. Can be fickle, unreliable and rather shallow at times. You cannot help but listen to the stories they will tell you, what happens to them is often straight from a horror movie. Another thing to remember is that they just love the sound of their own voice! Look for rings on short, tapering fingers. Look at their thumb and if prominent you'll know they seek approval from everyone for everything they do or say. A long-term friendship with this type usually proves exhausting.

Athletic Types:

You know the type, someone who looks like they have been working out in the gym all their life (even if they haven't). Average height with square shoulders. Look for an oval face, short neck and thick hair. This type detests the aimlessness of the Enthusiastic type, the luxuries of the Prosperous type, the faithfulness of the Reliable types. Having a good opinion of themselves preferring to live by their own rules, and usually does. If a job needs doing this type will see it gets done for they are essentially practical in their approach, detesting idleness and inefficiency. Preferring to wear comfortable clothes putting fashion second. Not really fussy about food but enjoys a-la-carte like the rest of us. Good at sport, enjoys swimming, rowing, boating. Has a good self-image despising bludgers'. Having an opinion on almost anything so be careful of your topics and if you ask them how they feel "they'll tell you" Look for a square hand with short, square tipped fingers. A good strong handshake will be offered by both sexes.

Imaginative Types:

Always looking as though they had lost a dollar and found 50 cents. Often appears dreamy, vague, even drunk. There's an alone-ness about this type that makes you want to protect them. Nervous in their movements and are more prone to accidents than all the other types put together, look for a slightly built, rather small physique. A high forehead and a pointed chin, narrow sloping shoulders with an almost helpless look. This type is often afraid of just about everything and often spends a great deal of time alone, thinking or reading. They often live in their heads allowing no one to get close to them, which is a pity. Not having a great sense of humour yet, the things that happen to this type could have you laughing in the aisles. Look for a long, narrow hand with pointed fingers. The skin will be almost translucent. Not everyone is a pure type and for that very reason I will give you a few examples of the mixed types. Before I do let me remind you it is your first impressions that matter. If you notice someone's short body and longish limbs you will know they are of the Enthusiastic Type. If your first impressions are of someone's good looks you will know they belong to the Prosperous Type.

Mixed Types:

Reliable-Prosperous: with a large well-covered body, a broad firm face, tall and dark identifies this type. Slow, methodical and rather stubborn. This is not considered one of the best combinations. Reliable-Enthusiastic: This mixture often gives a tall and angular figure, although there are a few small slender types having a ruddy complexion with fair hair. Gets on well with most people although can take their time before they relax in company. Reliable-Athletic: Tall and dark with an oblong face. Likes to travel and willing to try anything once being original, courageous and dogged. Reliable-Imaginative: Tall with a rather bony appearance. Narrow jaw and well developed brows, mainly dark in colouring with large features. This type is exacting and works well with statistics. Prosperous-Enthusiastic: This blend gives plumpness combined with firmness without the puffy look. Eyes of blue and a pleasant disposition are all a mixture of this type. Prosperous-Athletic: Short and plump but not flabby. A round face and square shoulders being diplomatic in approach to everything yet preferring to talk about something than actually doing it. Prosperous-Imaginative: A refined/intelligent look (even if as thick as two short planks!). Average height yet often appears taller. Enthusiastic-Athletic: Rosy complexion, light brown or golden hair. Eyes are attractive with vibrant colour, usually blue or green. Plenty of energy and is attracted to the stage. Enthusiastic-Imaginative: Blond with a wide forehead and a refined face with glowing skin. Hands and feet tend to be rather small, quick in their movements and able to rise to any emergency. Athletic-Imaginative: Short and square yet having a slender neck with dark or medium colouring. This type has perseverance, endurance and brains.

There's an infinite variety of people who combine three, maybe even four of the various types but like I said in the beginning, "It's the first thing you notice about someone which will give the clues to their type. " Happy hunting."
